Verizon announced on November 3, 2003 a notification of selection of the DynaCom Telepad product to accommodate any Verizon approved Serving Area Interfaces (SAI), Remote Terminals (RT) and Power Pedestals.

The Telepad System can be used as a substitution for the conventional concrete pad utilized at Remote Terminal Sites today. The Telepad can also provide a means for new and emerging technology to be installed without new construction or additional rights-of-way. The product selection was based on field trials completed by the X-Functional Team. Field Trials were completed in Thousand Oaks, California; Buckingham, Pennsylvania; and Dover, Delaware.
